SIA/CSAA Reciprocity Agreement
The Security Industry Association (SIA) and the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) have an established agreement under which both associations recognize the operator certificate issued by each other’s organization. This agreement concerns SIA’s Central Station Training Operator/Instructor course and CSAA’s online course.
Students who successfully complete the online CSAA Central Station Operator Level I course may receive a SIA Operator certificate if at least one operator in the central station is a SIA/APCO Certified Central Station Operator/Instructor.
Students who have completed the SIA/APCO Central Station Training Operator/Instructor program and operators trained by a certified SIA Central Station Instructor may receive a CSAA Central Station Operator Level I online training certificate.
In both cases, the trainer must submit proper documentation and a $10.00 processing fee to receive a certificate. The SIA Certified Instructor acts on behalf of SIA to verify that the operator is knowledgeable and competent according to industry standards and therefore qualifies to be “certified.” This service can be useful to those satisfying state licensing requirements.
To receive a certificate, please complete the appropriate form and mail the form, along with payment information and a copy of your CSAA issued certificate, to the appropriate association.
