Court Security
IA SB396, "Enhanced Court House Security."
This legislation would establish a court security grant program with up to $1 million for court house security projects. It would also authorize the State Supreme Court to establish a commission to administer the program.
The legislation has been held in the Senate Appropriations Committee to further evaluate the fiscal impact of the legislation. The bill will be re-evaluated sometime after the Iowa Legislature reconvenes in January 2008.
