Maryland HB1135, "Income Tax Credit for Security Expenses."
This bill would provide a tax credit for certain businesses when purchasing security devices, including access control systems, barriers, fencing, bullet-proof glass, commercial locking devices and surveillance equipment.
The legislation died during a Rules and Executive Committee vote on March 22, 2007, and it is uncertain whether the bill will be reintroduced next session.
